Textbooks have always been the main curriculum resources for music education in primary and secondary schools in China. People often misunderstand that textbooks are the only curriculum resources, and even the curriculum itself. In fact, curriculum resources refer to the source of the factors that form the curriculum and the necessary and direct conditions for the implementation of the curriculum. Curriculum resources can be further divided into on-campus curriculum resources and off-campus curriculum resources, while rural resources mainly refer to the natural ecology of the society in which the school is located.
