对地球表面及云的空间遥感成象有被动和主动两种方法。把反射太阳辐射和地球热辐射作为主要探测源进行成象的是被动遥感系统;把反射微波和激光波束作为主要探测源进行成象的是主动遥感系统。利用反射和散射太阳辐射对地成象只能在白天进行。通过探测地球的热辐射对地成象白天和黑夜均可进行。主动成象系统则可以在任何时候以任何视角对地成象。
There are two methods of passive and active imaging of the surface of the Earth and the cloud. The passive remote sensing system, which images the reflected solar radiation and the earth’s thermal radiation as the primary source of detection, and the active remote sensing system that images the reflected microwave and laser beams as the primary sources of detection. Imaging using reflected and scattered solar radiation can only be done during the day. Imaging of Earth by detecting the Earth’s thermal radiation can be done both day and night. Active imaging systems can image the ground at any angle at any time.
