In his opinion, because of the pervasiveness of the inner power desires, the threats between the characters are only for power and dominance. Pinter so concerned about the “threat” of this theme, because of his tragedy suffered from childhood. This paper mainly expounds the universality of the power struggles in the “Threat Comedy” and the vagueness of the outcome. The purpose of this article is to show that as a responsible playwright and a sensitive citizen, Pinter not only focuses on Personal misfortune, but also anxiety about the status quo of all mankind.
