[Japan’s Atomic Energy Judgment, July 28, 1983] The Japanese Institute of Radiological Research published a report on “Medical Particle Accelerator Medical Investigation and Research” on July 8. Since the Institute began this work in 1975, it has treated more than 1,000 cancer patients. Based on this, the Institute also summarized the effects of particle beam therapy that is different from radiotherapy.
