洛惠渠灌区是我省棉花生产基地之一。棉花是一种喜水喜温作物,对水分反应十分敏感。灌区群众说:“水是棉花的命,也是棉花的病。”土壤水分过少过多都对棉花生长发育不利,研究棉花的需水特性,实行科学灌水,对夺取棉花高产,在生产上具有重要意义。 近年来,灌区农民务棉技术提高,引进了高抗品种,增加了棉花密度,实行科学灌水;在生产管理上落实了生产责任制,棉田管理精细,单位面积产量不断提高。1982年虽遭受先旱后捞灾害,但全灌区30万亩棉花,亩产平均达到114.9斤,最高的朝邑公社平均亩产达148斤,伯士公社平均亩产138斤。本文着重总结在群众丰产棉花灌水经验的基础上,结合我站棉花灌水试验资料,对棉花灌水问题进行了初步探讨。
