前两天浙江画院副院长池沙鸿打来电话,说由画院主办的《中国画画刊》杂志这一期为我作一个专题介绍,并嘱我写些有关人物画创作的感想。我心里有些踌躇,不知写些什么好,一是因为自己的人物画创作作品不多,谈不出什么经验之道;二则我的有些想法很不合时宜,放在自己的心里不碍事,一写出来恐招惹人的非议。我是个不想惹事的人,做人做事向来是多一事不如少一事的态度;可是我又很讨厌说假话或不着边际的空话,浪费编辑的时间与纸张,思前想后,觉得还是应该实话实说为好。画画的人,大都比较感性,想到哪写到哪,不如理论家那样有条理,因此我也只有信马由缰,想到什么写什么了。先说中国画。关于中国画的争论,自有“中国画”这个名词之后,就一直没有消停
