In the central and northern regions of the Urals, a number of projects used flanges to connect angle steel cone frames more than a decade ago to adapt to the obsolete conditions of local processing equipment and save labor. No abnormalities were found during long-term observations during system testing and use. Designers believe that using a cone to assemble a grid is better than using a single bar. They weld the angles to a square pyramid or a triangular cone on a special mold in the factory and transport it to the site with the tip of the cone down and the bottom corner of the cone. They are bolted to each other, and the flat steel or channel steel lower chords are also fixed to the cone with bolts.
