(一)一位研究国学的朋友告诉我,无论怎么恢复传统文化,原来意义上的“国学大师”已再也不可能出现,因为现在的孩子必须在学校里接受教育,而学校是把“话”作为传授知识的工具来加以运用的,牟宗三先生所谓的那种“经验层”、“知识层”的学问,已经与人能否毕业、能否取得学位、能否找到工作密不可分。就此而言,中国已经要进入了世界历史的时间序列,而有关这一时间的观念,全是西方人用他们的话语在“经验层”、“组织层”上组织起来的,你要“走向世界”,你要实现现代化,就必得先把这一套知识体系作为全人类共有的知识的目标、规约、价值观和解释框架接受下来。
