Matera BAe Power successfully conducted two ASRAAM launches with the Lockheed Martin F-16 at Eglin AFB, Florida. The first launch test was the final off-site test conducted in accordance with the ASRAAM pilot plan and completed on September 20. The second launch test was a full telemetry test with the warhead demolished and its purpose was to collect the infrared imaging seeker and the end game, which is the technical performance of the target encounter point. The purpose of the final off-launch test, known as DE4, is to collect flutter and headgear heating data to check the flight of the launching aircraft
