(鲁少波李宗领)河北省南部地区退耕还林工作2002年启动实施以来,已取得了显著的阶段性成果。截止到2005年底,累计完成退耕还林任务985万亩(退耕地还林275万亩,匹配造林710万亩),工程涉及南部地区9个市,131个县(市、区)。通过四年的工程建设,河北省南部地区新增有林地面积985万亩,项目区森林覆盖率提高5.8%,平原沙区农田林网建设及村屯绿化取得突破性进展,大风、扬尘、冰雹、干热风
(Lu Shao-Bo and Li Zongling) Since the implementation of the project of returning farmland to afforestation in the southern region of Hebei Province in 2002, remarkable progress has been made. As of the end of 2005, a total of 985 million mu of land for returning farmland to forests was completed (2.75 million mu of returning cultivated land to forests and 7.1 million mu of afforestation). The project involves 9 cities and 131 counties (cities and districts) in the southern region. Through four years of construction, a total of 9.85 million mu of forest land has been newly added in the southern part of Hebei Province, and the forest coverage rate in the project area has increased by 5.8%.
