2009年8月24日,丰田在华两家合资企业——广汽丰田、一汽丰田宣布,由于零部件出现缺陷,自8月25日开始,召回部分凯美瑞、雅力士、威驰及卡罗拉轿车,涉及车辆总计688314辆。这是我国2004年实施汽车召回制度以来,数量最大的一项召回。很多评论都认为丰田此次大规模的汽车召回事件是因为经济危机以来大力削减成本造成的,但这并不是故事的全部。丰田生产方式并不是靠扩大产量提高生产率,或者是应景地削减成本来提高产量,彻底杜绝浪费一直都是丰田最基本的思想,其两大支柱就是“三及时”和“自动化”。
August 24, 2009 Toyota Motor’s two joint ventures in China, GAC Toyota and FAW Toyota announced that it has recalled parts of its Camry, Yaris, Vios and Corolla sedans since August 25 due to defective parts. The total number of vehicles involved 688314 cars. This is the largest recall since the implementation of the car recall system in 2004 in our country. Many commented that Toyota’s large-scale car recall was caused by a drastic cost-cutting since the economic crisis, but this is not the whole story. Toyota’s mode of production is not to increase productivity by expanding production, or cut costs to increase production, the total elimination of waste has always been Toyota’s most basic ideas, the two pillars of which is “three timely” and “automation” .
