棉花种质资源是棉花育种和生产发展的基础,棉花育种的突破性进展与优异种质源的发现和利用密切相关。经过连续几个“五年”攻关计划的实施,国内棉花种质资源鉴定、评价、优异种质的筛选和利用等方面均取得了许多重要进展,为棉花生产发展提供了物质基础。
Cotton germplasm resources are the basis of cotton breeding and production development. The breakthrough of cotton breeding is closely related to the discovery and utilization of excellent germplasm sources. After several consecutive “Five Years” research projects, many important progresses have been made in the identification and evaluation of domestic cotton germplasm resources and selection and utilization of excellent germplasm resources, which has provided the material basis for the development of cotton production.
