冰下湖是南极冰盖底部地形环境的重要组成部分,其存在对冰盖物质平衡及稳定性、全球气候和海平面变化有重要的影响.近50年来,随着多种探测技术的发展,南极冰下湖的研究取得了显著的进展.本文总结分析了南极冰下湖的研究进展,重点介绍了动态冰下湖和冰下水系的发现过程和研究意义.并在此基础上,对南极冰下湖研究领域的一些主要成果及基于大地测量手段开展冰下湖研究进行了详细评述.提出监测冰下融水迁移的可行性方案,并评述了其实现途径.
