重庆汽车北站是重庆市公路旅客运输枢纽站之一。车站主要承担渝涪、渝长、渝合高速公路和湖北利川、恩施、沙市、四川达川、大竹、邻水、南充、渝东地区万州、开县、梁平、忠县、云阳、丰都、酉、秀、黔、彭及垫江区间、渝北区间等57条营运线路的旅客运输及服务,新近又开辟了重庆-上海、江苏盐城的豪华卧铺班车。日发班600余班次,日均运送旅客1.25万人次,是交通主管部门核定的一级汽车客运站,车站已于2000年通过 ISO9001 2000质量管理体系认证。车站占地面积30亩,拥有1800平方米的站前广场和500平方米的售票厅3个,微机售票窗口21个以及总面积为6445平方米三个候车室和一个重点旅客候车厅,能为旅客提供购
