根据加入世贸组织承诺,中国对国内保险公司的保护正式于2004年12月彻底终止。从此,中国允许外资寿险公司向中国居民提供健康保险、团体保险和养老金年金保险服务,并不再限制其经营地域。目前中国处于加入世界贸易组织的“后过渡期”,对于外国保险公司来说,无论是经营地域还是产品品种,都有了更大的选择范围。“后过渡期”的特点是:市场机会越来越多,开放领域扩大,市场透明度增加,法律法规越来越完善。
According to the WTO commitments, China’s formal protection of domestic insurance companies was officially terminated in December 2004. Since then, China has allowed foreign life insurance companies to provide health insurance, group insurance and annuity annuity insurance services to Chinese residents and no longer restrict their geographical location. At present, China is in the “post-transition period” of joining the World Trade Organization. For foreign insurance companies, they have a wider range of choices in terms of geographical location and product variety. The “post-transition period” is characterized by more and more market opportunities, more open areas, more market transparency and more and more laws and regulations.
