埃德加·爱伦·坡(1809～1849),是一位有着广泛而深刻的世界性影响的美国伟大作家,其艺术形式的精湛和独创,得到了世界各国文艺家们的一致肯定。他的小说、诗歌和美学理论对我国文坛 (特别是在“五四”新文化运动前后所进行的反封建斗争中)也产生了深远影响,起过积极的促进作用。 坡在1832年至1849年间总共写了七十篇短篇小说,在其生前,约有一半编成集子。这些小说,按题材,大般可分为梦死恶、科幻和推理三个方面。本文仅就其主要作品作一些初步探讨,以就教于专家和读者。
Edgar Allan Poe (1809 ~ 1849) is a great American writer with extensive and profound worldwide influence. Its art form is superb and original, and has won unanimous affirmation by literary and artistes all over the world. His novels, poetry and aesthetics theories have also exerted a profound influence on our literary world, especially in the anti-feudal struggle before and after the May 4th New Culture Movement, and played a positive role in promoting it. Slope wrote a total of seventy short stories between 1832 and 1849, and about half of his short stories were compiled. These novels, according to the theme, can be divided into three major aspects of life and death, science fiction and reasoning. This article only makes some preliminary discussions about its major works to teach to experts and readers.
