This article is translated from the fourth issue of the Journal of Linguistic Studies of the Soviet Union in 1979. The writer is a writer of the Soviet UnionFin Bo Feilin. His “generated grammar” of the American linguist Chomsky, which has been popular in the United States and even in some western countries in the past two decades, has profoundly criticized both theory and practice. This article has a certain reference value to the comrades who study language theory. Fellin argues that the Chomsky theory itself is self-contradictory and illogical in many respects. Many of his formulas are incomprehensible. His “Physiological Language Generation Hypothesis” is a variant of the idealist system in contemporary linguistics. His viewpoints are anti-historicist.
