Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of laser lacrimaloplasty combined with injection of chitosan into lacrimal passage for chronic dacryocystitis. Methods: One hundred and sixty-six eyes of 136 patients with chronic dacryocystitis were treated with Nd:YAG laser lacrimaloplasty and intrapleural injection of chitosan or 0.85% normal saline respectively. The patients were followed up for 3-6 months
