The United States plans to rejoin the moon in the early 21st century and manned exploration of Mars. The moon and Mars are in a harsh, vacuum state with dust on the surface, so astronauts must wear credible, self-contained cosmic clothing there. Recently, Griffin, a Boeing engineer who plans space station work, and Hudson, a famous space painter (also a model technician) in the space station project, developed a new cosmic uniform for the future moon and Mars astronauts. It is reported that this is the first time that private contribution to the national space program has been made. Practical New Clothes Griffon and Hudson performed space suits for existing space shuttle and Apollo spacecraft astronauts before they called CCPS.
