年画是我们古代先民的艺术创造,是独具中国文化气质的艺术符号,是中国传统绘画中最具民间特色的艺术形式,是我国特有的一种绘画体裁。追溯年画的起源,应是从辟邪镇宅的原始宗教信仰而来。年画是与年俗相关的民间艺术, 它起源于春节贴在门上的“桃符”。殷商时代,是我国巫文化的繁盛期,年头岁尾,先民喜好祭神、祭祖,形成了一系列的年俗活动,这就是我国民间最隆重的传统节日——“春节”的来历。春节来临之际,周人将长方形的桃木板绘上神荼、郁垒两门神的画像,悬挂在大门两旁,以镇邪驱鬼、祈福纳祥,即“桃符”。《后汉书·礼仪志》记载,“正月一日,造桃符著户,名
