In (S)ulgi 48,x (48 v),(S)ulgi the Great,the second and most powerful king of the ⅢUr Dynasty of Ur died1.Almost at the same date the archive of the animal institution of his Queen,the famous (S)ulgi-simti,in the dynastic Animal Distributing Center,i.e.Puzri(s)-Dagan (mode Drehem),came to an end and the name of this famous queen disappears2.Five months later,the dead king together with Geme-Ninfil,the first wife of (S)ulgi,and (S)ulgi-simti were presented death offerings on Amar-Sin 1,iii/283.On the 11th month of the first year of Amar-Sin,Queen Abi-simti (Abī-simtī,the second part of whose name is the same as that of (S)ulgi-simti) appears in the texts of the Animal Center.After (S)ulgi-simti had "died",this Abi-simti was active in religious affairs from Amar-Sin 1,xi to (S)u-Sin 9,xii,i.e.for nearly for 18 years during the reigns of King Amar-Sin and King (S)u-Sin.According to his seal,Babati,brother of Abi-simti,was first promoted to the royal accountancy,and later to the generalship ((s)akkana Ma(s)kan-(s)arrumki) and goveorship (énsi Abalki) near Eshnunna in the Diyala district.Abi-simti was also the mother of (S)u-Sin,the fourth king of Ur Ⅲ Dynasty,and sister of Babati.
