翠屏山崖墓群位于重庆市忠县县城对面的长江南岸,墓葬分布于翠屏山北侧临河及西侧面江的断崖上。2007至2008年,为配合三峡水库的二期蓄水工程,中山大学人类学系先后两次对翠屏山崖墓进行了抢救性考古发掘,发现并清理东汉至南朝时期崖墓41座,共出土随葬器物465件(组)。翠屏山崖墓群是三峡库区发现的较为典型的汉至六朝时期崖墓群。崖墓以中小型墓为主,形制绝大部分为单室墓,仅见一座双室墓。墓葬结构相对较简单,平面形状为凸
Cuiping cliff tombs located in Zhongxian County, Chongqing City, opposite the south bank of the Yangtze River, the tombs are located in the northern side of Cui Ping Linhe River and the western side of the cliff. From 2007 to 2008, the Department of Anthropology of Sun Yat-sen University conducted rescue archeological excavations twice in succession to the Tomb of Mt. Cuiping in order to support the second-stage water storage project of the Three Gorges Reservoir. It discovered and cleaned 41 climatic tombs from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Southern Dynasties, Burial artifacts 465 (group). Cuiping cliff tombs are found in the Three Gorges reservoir area is more typical of the Han Dynasty to the Six Dynasties cliff tombs.
