The frame structure and basic multiplexing principle of SDH are introduced. On this basis, the transmission technology of video signal on SDH is discussed. The article describes in detail the method of multiplexing and mapping the video conference signal of 2.048Mbps, the video signal of 34.368Mbps and the MPEG-2 transport stream of 8Mbps into the SDH frame structure; the composition and principle of the SDH digital multiplexing device; finally, SDH interface MPEG-2 multimedia system terminal design examples.
