可以肯定地说,像我这样厌倦我 们的城市的人绝对不止我一个。只是 我不知道那些厌倦的人究竟有着多 大的忍耐力,或者说修炼到了哪个档 次上。这座拥有数百万人口的洋洋大 城市似乎永远摆脱不了一幅粗糙疲 惫拖泥带水的懒散相,好像总也睡不醒,就是醒来也不会洗脸的。因为大 部分的皮肤已经失去敏感的神经,污 秽斑驳,即便栽上一些花草树木、开 出一街洒水车也是无济于事了。那么 多吐痰的人被罚了款可还是吐,只要 想吐就可以舒畅尽情地吐。满街的 “旱厕”弥散出令人无法容忍的气味。 有意味的是包括我在内的人一旦踏 上异国的土地,痰就没有了,而回国 后又照吐不误。令我困惑的是到底是 人的陋习导致了城市的肮脏,还是城 市的肮脏培养了人的陋习?当我领略
