Junior high school mathematics new curriculum standards and new programs explicitly require mathematics should be closely linked with the reality of life, in solving practical problems in the process of raising and improving students’ mathematical ability. Based on the topic of “Cattle grazing,” this article discusses the teaching thinking that guides students to solve the problem of uniform change in the total amount of work. Question 1: There is a pasture, the grass grows at a constant rate every day, if the grazing of 24 cattle, 6 days after eating grass; if the grazing of 21 cattle, 8 days after eating grass. Q: (1) How long does the grass grow? (2) If 16 cattle are grazed, how many days can the grass be eaten?
