稀土可以促进作物生根、发芽和促进植物对氮、磷、钾大量元素的吸收,提高光能利用率,提高作物产量与质量。为了研究稀土在甜菜上的施用技术和增产增糖效果,解决我县甜菜产量不高、含糖量低的问题。我们从1981年开始,连续进行了五年7点次的田间试验和三年26点次的示范试验,面积达15,240亩。通过试验示范,进一步明确了甜菜施用稀土的增产增糖效果和施用技术。因此1985年全县推广了此项新技术,推广面积2.5万亩,占播种面积的92%。
