3日 铁道部部长傅志寰本月2日向中外新闻界介绍了铁路对外开放、改革和建设的情况。谈到今后5年中国铁路建设的特点如下,一是投资规模增大,建设规模远远大于历史上任何一个5年。二是重点突出,在扩建与完善路网建设大能力干线的同时,重点安排运量与运能矛盾突出的西南通道建设。三是强调技术进步,加快实现铁路技术装备现代化,大力发展信息技术、安全技术和提高机车车辆的制造水平,适应铁路重载和发展高速的需要。四是更加重视客运,在既有线客车提速的同时,还要建设京沪高速铁路和秦皇岛至沈阳的时速200公里的客车专线。(《人民铁道报》)
