我国著名昆虫学家、西南农业大学教授、博士生导师蒋书楠,1914年10月生于江苏省苏州市,1936年毕业于浙江大学农学院,获学士学位,同年任中央农业实验所助理员,1937年任广西大学农学院助教、讲师、副教授,1944年任贵州大学农学院教授,1948年赴美国衣阿华州立大学留学,获理学硕士,1949年返贵州大学继续任教授并兼病虫害系主任。1952年调西南农学院任植保系教授,同时历任院务委员、教务长、院学术委员会主任、副院长,现任昆虫分类生理研究室主任。兼任国务院学位委员会评议组成员,中国昆虫学会理事,民盟中央委员,四川省植保学会常务理事,重庆市昆虫学会理事长,重庆市政协副主席,民盟重庆市委副主委。
Jiang Shunan was born in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province in October 1914. He graduated from Zhejiang University College of Agriculture in 1936 with a bachelor’s degree. In the same year, he served as an assistant to the Central Agricultural Laboratory, 1937 He served as teaching assistant, lecturer and associate professor at Guangxi Agricultural College. In 1944, he was a professor at Guizhou University College of Agriculture. In 1948, he went to study in Iowa State University in the United States. He received his master degree. In 1949, he returned to Guizhou University as professor and concurrent director of pest and disease department. In 1952 transferred Southwest Agricultural College Ren planting protection professor, at the same time served as academician, dean, academic committee director, vice president, the incumbent insect classification physiology director. He is also a member of the Consultative Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, member of the Chinese Entomological Society, member of the Central Committee of the NLD, standing director of the Sichuan Plant Protection Society, chairman of the Chongqing Entomological Society, vice chairman of the CPPCC Chongqing Municipal Committee, and vice chairman of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Democratic League.
