In this paper, the lateral stress and friction of the tube-type shock absorber are theoretically analyzed and tested from the perspective of the vehicle suspension system and the body of the shock absorber, and a new concept of practical engineering of the shock absorber such as the hard coefficient is proposed. The technical route and test parameters for using the domestic equipment to carry out the lateral stress and the friction bench test of shock absorber are summarized
