2002年5月,美国的圣地亚哥海关查获一批中国走私的化石,按照国际惯例(罚没的生物化石都应该归还给出产国),美国海关把化石归还给中国国家文物局,文物局通知北京自然博物馆接收。2002年6月10日晚上,罚没的化石运抵北京自然博物馆,经过北京自然博物馆工作人员的检查发现,这批罚没的化石中一共有89块海百合化石,10条贵州龙化石,1条兴义龙化石及部分已经碎裂了的鱼龙化石。而今,这批化石已与观众见面。海百合是一种生活在古代海洋中
In May 2002, San Diego Customs seized a batch of smuggled fossils from China. In accordance with international practice (confiscated fossils should be returned to the producing country), U.S. customs returned the fossils to China’s State Administration of Cultural Heritage. The Bureau of Cultural Relics notified the Beijing Natural History Museum receive. On the night of June 10, 2002, fossilized fossils arrived at the Beijing Museum of Natural History. After examination by Beijing Natural History Museum staff, a total of 89 fossilized sea lily fossils, 10 fossilized dragon fossils, Yi dragon fossils and some have been disintegrated fish dragon fossils.
