中国核学会计算物理学会成立会和第一届计算物理学术交流会于8月23日至28日在北京召开,出度会议的有来自全国各地91个单他的代表173名,其中大多数是建国后培养成长起来的中年知识分子。国防科委、中国核学会,有关兄弟学会和高等院校等的领导同志出席了会议开幕式。经过充分酝酿,选出了53名理事,15名常务理事,一致推举秦元勋为学会理事长,黄敦、符鸿源为付理事长。
