Objective: To discuss and analyze the nursing experience of clinical research on the length of gastrointestinal decompression catheter in critically ill patients. Methods: Seventy cases of critically ill patients admitted to hospital were enrolled in the study. Patients in the control group and the study group were randomly assigned to 45-55 cm and 55-70 cm, respectively. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results: The difference of catheter depth between the two groups found that the excellent and good drainage rate was 91.4% in the study group and 85.7% in the control group, the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). Two groups of patients after different depths of catheter found that patients with severe abdominal distension rate (17.1%) was significantly lower than the control group (48.5%), the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion: When the length of the catheter is 55 ~ 70cm, the drainage effect can be improved and the incidence of adverse reactions can be reduced. The gastric tube can be effectively cleaned to avoid clogging and greatly improve the life of the patient Quality, worth promoting.
