油画从引进之初就和我国的文化和国情紧密结合而具本民族特色,以表现乡土为题材的现实主义油画也不例外。乡土油画历经近百年的发展,已从相对单一的不自觉发展模式到全方位自律性多元化自觉发展模式。随着经济的发展和城市化进程加快,在国外艺术发展中几乎灭亡的乡土油画在我国非但没有消亡而且发展更为迅猛,在我国仍有极大发展空间和前景。
