The author, Bai Jianfeng, is a senior reporter of the People’s Daily and presides over the “medical and health special edition” published every Thursday in the People’s Daily. She has been on the frontline of Chinese health for many years and has repeatedly reported on the hot spots and focuses of the Chinese medical and health community. Bai Jianfeng’s name is familiar to senior Chinese health officials, is familiar to Chinese doctors, and is also familiar to people concerned about Chinese health. He has won a series of auras including the China News Award, China Top 100 journalists, and the national advanced individual in the fight against SARS. Bai Jianfeng, personally commended by Vice Premier Wu Yi of the State Council, is undoubtedly the most speaker in the camp of Chinese health journalists. Because of his special identity, he was also hailed as “the first reporter to openly speak for the doctor.”
