自从80年代以来,礼貌现象一直受到许多语言学家的关注。一时之间礼貌用语成为语用学家重点关注的对象。其中影响最大的是Geoffrey Leech的“礼貌原则(”Politeness Principle)以及Brown和Levinson的“正面面子(”positive face)和“负面面子(”negative face)理论。教师适当地运用礼貌用语能活跃课堂气氛,从而使学生更加自信、积极、主动的参与到课堂教学中来。
Politeness has been a concern of many linguists since the 1980s. Polite expressions have become the focus of pragmatic scholars. Among them, Geoffrey Leech’s “Politeness Principle” and Brown and Levinson’s “positive face” and “negative face” theories. The proper use of courtesy phrases by teachers can activate the classroom atmosphere so that students can participate in classroom teaching more confidently, actively and actively.
