“三个代表”重要思想是马克思主义同当代中国实际相结合的最新成果,是当代中国发展着的马克思主义,也是当代中国哲学社会科学的伟大成果。在新世纪新阶段,深入开展哲学社会科学研究,繁荣和发展哲学社会科学事业,必须坚持以“三个代表”重要思想为指导;必须深入开展对当代中国发展着的马克思主义———“三个代表”重要思想的学习和研究;必须坚持理论联系实际的原则,突出和强化哲学社会科学的服务功能;必须在加强应用研究的同时切实加强基础理论研究,加强重点学科建设,推动学科发展。
The important thinking of the ’Three Represents’ is the latest achievement in combining Marxism with the actual situation in contemporary China, the Marxism developed in contemporary China and the great achievement of contemporary Chinese philosophy and social sciences. In the new phase of the new century, in conducting in-depth study of philosophy and social science and prospering and developing the cause of philosophy and social sciences, we must adhere to the guidance of the important thinking of the ’Three Represents.’ We must thoroughly carry out the Marxism that is developing in contemporary China --- ’ We must adhere to the principle of linking theory with practice, highlight and strengthen the service function of philosophy and social sciences, strengthen the application of research, strengthen the study of basic theories, strengthen the construction of key disciplines and promote the development of disciplines.
