根据1994年的汤河水库鲢、鳙的生物学测定、历年的放养数量和历年的渔获量资料,对汤河水库鲢各龄鱼的残存率、资源量进行了估算(鲢、鳙比例接7:3原则确定),从而确定了鱼种规格为132mm时的最佳放养数量为3.246753×106尾(其中鲢为2.272727×106尾;鳙为9.74026×105尾)。在连续8~10年无任何捕捞时水库对鲢、鳙的环境容纳量为2.246124×106尾(其中鲢为1.572287×106尾;鳙为6.73837×105尾)。依据RICKER模式确定了鲢、鳙的最佳捕捞死亡系数分别为2.0和1.9,最佳开捕年龄分别为5和4.5龄,同时确定了1994年汤河水库偷鱼量为5.0×104~6.0×104kg,从而提出了汤河水库渔业资源的合理利用策略。
