一直以来,在中国(大陆)把联合国教科文组织(UNESCO)1972年出版的“富尔报告”Learning to be译为“学会生存”。这一译法有其时代背景,虽沿用了30年,但它是与Learning to be的原义偏离的,而且也使得在传播UNESCO的教育思想时发生了种种误会。本文考察了这一译法的来源、成因,通过对UN-ESCO相关文献的分析,全面地澄清Learning to be译法的问题,建议将其译为“学会成人”。同时,也较为完整地梳理了当前与UNESCO有关的诸多教育术语的中文译法的问题。
All along, UNESCO (China) published in 1972, “Learning from the Fur” report to “learn to survive.” This translation has its own historical background. Although it has been used for 30 years, it has deviated from the original meaning of Learning to be and has caused misunderstandings in the dissemination of UNESCO’s educational thinking. This paper examines the origin and causes of this translation. Through the analysis of UN-ESCO related documents, we can clarify the problem of Learning to be translation completely and propose to translate it into “Learning to Become an Adult.” At the same time, it also more completely combs the problems of Chinese translation of many education terms related to UNESCO at present.
