Metal halide perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have attracted extensive research interest in recent years due to their low-cost processing,high power conversion efficiency(PCE),and tunable bandgap enabling tandem photovoltaics(PVs).Over the past decade,PSCs have witnessed an impressive increase in PCEs from 3.8%to 25.5%,which is the highest among thin-film PV technologies and is comparable to those of crystalline silicon solar cells[1].The perovskites have a general formula of ABX3,where the A-site is methy-lammonium(MA),formamidinium(FA)or cesium(Cs),B-site is Pb or Sn,and X-site is I,Br,or Cl.The perovskite composition is finely engineered via cation and halide se-lection to obtain efficient and stable PSCs.Among the broad range of compositions,black phase(or a-phase)FAPbI3 is of intense interest for PV applications since it has a lower bandgap nearly ideal for solar cells and better thermal sta-bility than MA-containing perovskites.
