以《联合早报》为代表的海外华文媒体,历史性地扮演着建构海外华人华族文化身份的角色,华人也通过华文媒体这一平台来不断进行身份认同。随着海外历史语境的变迁,华文媒体自身性质的变化在一定程度上也促使华人文化身份的逐渐变异与复杂化。当今全球化进程加剧与多元文化并存中西方话语占主导的历史背景,又突显出华文媒体的文化表征和华人身份的认同危机,这将是一个复杂而持续的文化问题。 Overseas Chinese media, represented by Lianhe Zaobao, played a historic role in building the cultural identity of overseas Chinese in China. The Chinese also continued to identify themselves through the platform of the Chinese media. With the change of the context of overseas history, the change of the nature of the Chinese media itself has also contributed to the gradual variation and complication of Chinese cultural identity. Nowadays, the globalization of the world and the multi-cultural history of both Chinese and Western discourses dominate. It also highlights the cultural manifestations of the Chinese-language media and the crisis of identification with Chinese identities. This will be a complicated and continuing cultural issue.
