游框锉掏法是修理卡尺磨损量的一种简便、经济的方法。除双头卡尺和部分进口卡尺(塞铁在外测量爪一面的)外,一般都可用这种方法修复磨损量,如上海量具刃具厂生产的三用卡尺、两用卡尺、单面卡尺;哈尔滨量具刃具厂生产的三用卡尺(如果塞铁一面无支紧小螺钉时,需加装两只支紧小螺钉)等,同时也适用于有单面外量爪的游标高度尺。
