中兽医学是中国传统兽医(药)学的简称。中兽医史(也称中国兽医史)学是研究和阐述中国传统兽医药学的起源、形成、发展过程和发展规律的一门学科。笔者根据自己近年学习中兽医史学的一些体会,结合国内外兽医史研究动态,对建立独特的中兽医史学提出一些看法,旨在引起有关专家、学者的重视,以加强中兽医史学的研究工作。(一)建立中兽医史学的意义中国传统兽医药学有着悠久的历史和辉煌的成就,长期以来保障着我国畜牧业的发展,并在1000多年前传到国外,为世界兽医学的发展
Chinese veterinary medicine is short for traditional Chinese veterinary medicine.
