农九师地处我国西北边陲,气候干旱,年平均降水量仅275毫米,耕地地面坡降大,且横向起伏不平,采用地面灌溉,水土流失严重。1984年农九师根据他们的自然条件,从内地引进自压喷灌设备,利用自然纵坡形成压力,不仅不消耗能源,而且技术简单,故障少,管理方便。该垦区1984年在550亩土地上做了试验,取得了显著的省水增产效果。小麦全生长期除了天然降雨,喷灌5次,每亩仅用水120立方米,平均亩产609斤,比地面灌溉每亩省水130多立方米,增产1倍以上。这一生产实践,增强了他们推行自压喷灌的信
Nongjiu is located in the northwestern border of China, with arid climate and an average annual rainfall of only 275 millimeters.
