Vehicle exhaust emissions have brought pollution to the environment, thus reducing the fuel consumption of automobiles is receiving increasing attention. Vehicle lightweighting is at the core of reducing fuel consumption. The current status and prospects of black and non-ferrous metal materials in lightweight automobile are introduced.
