There are various options for transmission schemes, including conventional wire systems and fiber optic systems, for the lines and other data lines between the device and the control device utilizing the microprocessor. The main problems with wire systems are their sensitivity to parasitic signals such as crosstalk, EMI, ringing and ringing of the inductive capacitor. Advances from single-wire transmission to twisted pair cable and coaxial cable systems provide greater control of noise at the expense of larger, less efficient, and more expensive equipment. Requirements on the interface, the line performance comparison, the optical fiber program for short-distance applications is very attractive.
