百达灵中国公司总经理冯星君在日前举行的总结过去、展望未来的记者招待会上表示,他们希望1998年跻身中国前10大软件公司的行列。百达灵自去年7月进驻中国市场以来,已建立了一支60人的队伍,去年第四季度销售了60万美元的产品。冯星君表示,今年的目标是增加市场份额,并在与邮电、交通、能源、政府等行业建立良好关系的同时,也将进入银行系统。在产品发展方面,主要的市场增长点是:用于企业系统管理的 Provision、数据仓库、2000年解决方案咨询和服务等。冯星君的信心一方面来自他即将对国内市场的投资,另一方面源自母公司的全球目标:收购25家公司,营业额突破14亿美元、员工人数达到1万人。百达灵今年的收购将集中于数据仓库、安全性产品(防火墙、加密产品等)、OO 开发工具等。

Feng Xingjun said that this year’s goal is to increase market share and establish a good relationship with the post and telecommunications, transportation, energy, government and other industries, but also will enter the banking system. In terms of product development, the main market growth points are Provision, data warehouse, and 2000 solution consulting and services for enterprise system management. Feng Xingjun’s confidence comes on the one hand from his forthcoming investment in the domestic market, and on the other from the parent company’s global goal of acquiring 25 companies with a turnover of over US$1.4 billion and a staff of 10,000. This year’s acquisition of Pateling will focus on data warehousing, security products (firewalls, encryption products, etc.), OO development tools, and more.
