Among the many works by Pearl S. Buck about China, the redemption complexion is identical and similar, but the superficial resemblance can not hide the fundamental variation of the inner layer. From the early to late works, the mode of redemption of Chinese-Spanish redemption has undergone tremendous changes: first, the religious salvation in the West has been directly denied from absent to the second; the gender-based subversion of the Redeemer and the Redeemer in both China and the West Finally, the salvation from the western culture to the salvation of Chinese culture. In this way, due to the later Pearl Buck’s Chinese cultural identity and the awakening of female gender identity, she was able to subvert the core cornerstone of American culture: religious salvation and patriarchal power under the identical appearance of mainstream American culture “Salvation Complex” Center, replaced by the core of Chinese culture: land worship and Confucian “benevolence ” thought.
