碎屑岩属沉积岩中的一种。主要由母岩机械破碎的碎屑物质组成。碎屑岩按碎屑颗粒大小可分为三类:粗碎屑岩-砾岩、角砾岩;中碎屑岩-砂岩;细碎屑岩-粉砂岩。我国含铀碎屑岩矿床多产于中、新生代沉积盆地。矿床分布于沉积环境为河流相、沼泽相、湖泊相的碎屑沉积物中。一般矿化不均匀。使碎屑颗粒胶结的物质(胶结物)为泥质(水云母、高岭石等)、钙质(方解石为主、白云石次之)、硅质(蛋白石、玉髓、石英)、铁质(铁的氧化物和氢氧化物)。

The materials (cements) that cement the detritus particles are muddy (hydrated mica, kaolinite, etc.), calcareous (calcite dominated by dolomite), siliceous (opal, chalcedony, quartz), iron (Iron oxides and hydroxides).
