中东铁路是19世纪末20世纪初由俄国主导、以中俄两国合作形式在中国东北修建的一条连接西伯利亚大铁路的超长距离铁路线。尽管这是一个中国被动接受的历史产物,但其作为近代东北地区引进和建设的第一个现代化交通工具,它的建成通车,在事实上开启了区域工业化和早期现代化的历史进程。本文从个案研究的视角,集中考察作为中东铁路三大部分之一的滨洲线(从满洲里到哈尔滨)在建成后带来的沿线地区社会经济的深刻变化和区域城市化进程的启动,以为更全面地研究和评价中东铁路史提供参考。
The Middle East Railway was an ultra-long-haul railway linking Siberia with the Russian-led railway at the end of the 19th and the early 20th century in the northeastern part of China by the cooperation of China and Russia. Although this is a historical product of China’s passive acceptance, as the first modern means of transport for the introduction and construction of the northeast region in modern China, its opening up to traffic has in fact opened the historical process of regional industrialization and early modernization. From the perspective of case studies, this paper focuses on the profound socio-economic changes in the coastal areas along the Binzhou Line (from Manchuria to Harbin), as one of the three major parts of the Middle East Railway, and the initiation of regional urbanization. Comprehensive study and evaluation of the history of the Middle East Railway provide a reference.
