Using questionnaire survey, 312 college counselors were investigated to explore the relationship between boundary segmentation preference, organizational segmentation and individual boundary segmentation strategies and work-non-work conflicts. The results show that: (1) The counselors’ segmentation preferences are positively correlated with work-non-work conflicts; (2) Both the organizational segmentation and individual boundary segmentation strategies can weaken the positive correlation between the boundary segmentation preferences and work-non-work conflicts. This study suggests that colleges and universities should try their best to provide more tutoring supplies to the counselors without affecting their work. At the same time, tutors can also work independently through non-working border management by flexibly applying the strategy of boundary division.
